Nearly Christmas....

Hi all
I have decided to be generous and give you all an early Christmas Present!
This website is amazing! I do get a lot of emails from them but it is definitely worth a look.
Ready...
Here it is ....
Ceramic Arts Daily

Here are a few photos that you have taken of recently finished work

Above is Normans leaf bowl using Botz Cumulus Glaze.

To the right is Annas Owl piece, she managed to finish before her holiday. We just have to wait until it is bone dry before firing him.

Tom has re-glazed this piece due to the Glaze crawling off the pot during the Kiln power cut fiasco. I look forward to seeing the rsult ofthe third firing on Wednesday..
This is something that I have been working on recently,
I thought you would all be interested.
See you soon and enjoy your Christams Pressie...
you are welcome!

First Glaze firing

Wednesday night was the first opening night for a Glaze firing.
This is always an anxious and exciting time for me, as it is the first time students actually hold their finished work. Mostly it is a eureka moment for them to hold a new shinny object.

the New Glazes fired well and the Gold/ Bronze effect was a particular wow moment.

Natural form Vessel.
All students again chose all individual designs inspired from shells, leaf and animal forms.
All possible problems were identified by discussing construction of designs prior to making and then full steam ahead for building.

Improvers were engrossed in their projects 2 getting paricularlly stuck into The Red Earthenware ( hope it came out of your clothes!)

Looking forward to Wednesday for another full on session
